The Smurfit Kappa production site in Stalybridge has (amongst other quality standards) the AIB (American Institute of Baking - https://www.aibonline.org standard. This is perhaps the most exacting food quality standard that we work with and the site is subject to planned audits and "spot audits" (wihout notice) by the AIB auditor who is on site for several days at a time. The way that the audit works is that the site is split up into different auditable departments and awarded 200 points per department before the audit starts - points are thyen deducted for non-conformancies. We are delighted to report that on the audit carried out in December 2009 the Pest Control department scored 190 out of a possible 200 (and the standard had been "toughened up" since the previous audit) The AIB auditor commented on several occasions: "The Pest Control is excellent" "I really like the idea of the remote document system" "You do very good physical Pest Control but also Pest Control that is traceable" "The idea that you have come up with for fixing the monitoring boxes is very innovative" This reult is a testament to the work that Jane King (who heads up the team from our side) and Alan Brown (who services the site) put in at the site. They both work very closely with Karen Bradbury and John Taylor from Smurfit Kappa to manage the system. It is worthy of note that this site has recently transferred to our remote document management system. Well done one and all - a happy customer and a happy auditor - an ideal combination !
