Fly Killing machines come in many shapes and sizes. When thinking about purchasing/hiring a machine please consider the following points: a) Is it/are they adequate for the area that they are being put into ? Manufacturers will tell you how many square metres their machines will cover - its an easy calculation but you would be surprised how many people do not consider this. b) Is it/are they easy to service or would it take someone with an engineering degree to take it apart to clean it and replace the tube every twelve months ? c) Are shatterproof tubes availiable for the unit(s) ? d) Is a traditional unit what you need or is a glueboard unit more suitable ? e) Do you need a discreet "uplighter" style machine for "front of house" public facing areas ? f) Is the fly killer/are the fly killers the only defence against flying insects or is it part of a well thought out programme of fly control following the classic Exclusion Restriction Derstruction pest control mantra ?
