Its been a long time since we posted a news update - to be right about it we've been that busy !!
We are now on Twitter (@harveyenviro), Facebook, Linkedin and we also have a Wordpress Blog - there's no stone unturned her as far as the new way of the world goes (Social networking).
All of this techno whizzy stuff is all well and good and potentially gives us a bigger shop window on the world. It doesn't of course take the place of good old fashioned face to face customer care and selling - what it hopefully does is to make the meeting of more people easier and more productive. we have been helped on this new stuff by www.brandspankin.co.uk in Nelson - great people and over the 2 days we spend with them there were some truly jaw dropping OMG moments.
Anyway - enough of this techno frippery - what's been going on ?
Trading results are holding up well in the teeth of cutbacks and recession - we have always thought that our industry retains a defitine need almost whatever the economic situation. Having said that we are certainaly not being blase and conceited - it's even more important that we look after our customers and remind them of the good value that we are providing and the perils of pests and poor washroom sanitation at every opportunity.
Phil Sidorewic has now completed his Institute of Leadership and Management level 3 course and has done really well.
Debbie Kovacs has gone on Maternity leave and has successfully produced Lily Elizabeth - congratulations to Debbie ! Debbie is replaced by the very able Sharon Wray (who has previous experience in our industry)
We celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the company up at Holmscales Activity Centre nr Kendal back in April - a fantastic day and an overnight stay at the Castle Green Hotel - a separate article to follow on this event. - Huge fun and well done to all !
We are quoting for some really big work - UK wide and the signs look very good indeed for these prospects - can't say who they are at the moment (of course) but more to come shortly on this topic.
Charles Farrar has now completed his 6 month probationary period with us and has done really well - a great addition to the team is our Charlie Boy ! (there's a rumour that he is trying to take the "team fancy man" title away from Phil)
