One of our customers recently told us that they had been approached by a rival company. It happens - we're grown up about it and we actually welcome competition ("yeah right" I hear you say - no we do - it gives us a chance to show that we know what we are on about and that in reality we are extremely good value)

Anyway - back to the story..........

This company had phoned up to see if they could quote, not asked to do a site survey, didn't know anything about the business (it's a multi award winning asian food outlet) and then quoted a really cheap figure over the phone. Our price is many multiples of their price.

Who got the work ?

We did.

Why ? Several reasons really:

a) professionalism

b) customer relationship

c) recognition by the local Environmental Health Department that this business is sbeing looked after in an "exeptional way" by ourselves

d) the fact that this other company hadn't even been bothered to put the leg work in to pitch seriously for the business.

So - whilst price IS important - it most certainally isn't everything.
