Most pests hide away in the daytime - that's why if you are doing an inspection in the daytime you need to be looking in dark/out of the way places like cellars, wall voids and lofts if at all possible. The one area that get's forgotten is the drainage system. These are subterranean motorways for Rats (and Mice) and Oriental Cockroaches and understanding drainage is pretty important for Pest Controllers.

We have decided to send all of our field based staff on a "Drainage Course for PCO's" - (that's Pest Control Operatives to thee and me) to ensure that we can provide the very best advice to our customers and prospective customers.

We believe in training - not just at the start of someone's career with us, but throughout their employment. Well trained people do a better job and are happier in their jobs, well trained people keep customers and get more customers.
