We have been working away at doing business with Lancashire Constabulary for a little while and we have just received our first order. We are now proudly top of the list of “preferred suppliers” for call out work – reporting directly in to the Estates department.
Getting to this point has not been a “walk in the park” – all sorts of background checks have been done and company financial information submitted (trading history, references, financial strength etc.) but we have come through smiling.
We already look after Lancashire Fire and Rescue and the North West Ambulance Service so the Police seemed a natural progression (well, I suppose there was the Coastguard but that doesn’t spring to mind when you do the old “999” thing in your head)
Lancashire Constabulary is split into six divisions – each division responsible for it’s own budget and each division having its own Facilities Manager.
At time of going to press we have carried out full site surveys for two of the six divisions with three more promised in the next couple of months – some of the divisions already have preventative contracts in place and some don’t.
