You may well ask !
Mucho apologies for not updating the site for a considerable period of time. It's been incredibly busy ! Anyway - what has been going on recently ? Staff - Keith Blackburn has joined us as a Service Technician - he flew through his 6 weeks induction training and is at this very moment carrying out a stirling job servicing his customers and travelling around the UK attending all of the necessary foundation courses. Here's a piccy to hang infront of the fire to keep the kids away !
Steve Crowley continues his pioneering role in Merseyside from our Bootle base. Gordon, Alan and Phil continue with their solid performances. Jane the King continues to recieve very high praise from our BRC/AIB customers - quality and detail is where Jane is at and it continues to pay dividends The two Debbie's keep the ship steady on admin and Sue is looking at two acquisitions at the moment. Everyone enjoyed our Christmas "Do" - this year at The Rendevous Hotel in Skipton. Business: We took on a large food production factory but soon discovered that we had not been told the full story when we negotiated the deal - this led to a massive undercosting and therefore a re-negotiation. We have now walked away from this one and wish the company who have taken it on the very best of luck (you'll need it !) Policy wise we are taking a much firmer line with debtors and with who we are taking on in the first place. At the end of the day we are in business to make money and it is vital that our customers pay us for the work that we do (sounds a bit basic doesn't it but you'd be amazed how many companies just see the sales and not the cash in the bank) So - deals below a certain amount per annum (and one off jobs less than the same sum) are now to be paid up front in full. Credit checks are taken on all new contract customers over the aforementioned sum and it is this that we base our credit offer terms Sales staff now have daily analysis which will help improve individual results and will enable individual management. Large multi site accounts are being targetted as we have the infrastructure to deal with these type of clients and we have been complimented on our performance in this arena. We have been told that we should be called the 4th Emergency service as we are now dealing with The Fire service, the Police and the Ambulance service ! Can't be bad to be mentioned in the same sentence as these high quality organisations. More updates very soon (that's a promise !) |
